How to handle and store dry ice?

It is recommended to use gloves and/or tongs when handling dry ice, as it can cause skin burns if touched with bare hands. Store dry ice in a Styrofoam container to reduce sublimation. We offer high quality Insulated Styrofoam shippers for purchase through our website, ideal for storing any temperature sensitive product. It is also important to keep dry ice in a well-ventilated area, as it releases carbon dioxide gas which can be dangerous in confined spaces. Inhaling the vapours can result in serious injury!

How long does dry ice last?

5lb of dry ice kept outside will last around 2-3 hours, depending on temperature. In a cooler, it can last around 15 hours.
